This monastery is beautifully situated on a plateau above the north coast. The freely accessible but uninhabited monastery complex dates from the 15th century, and its icons mostly date from the 17th century. Note the well-preserved frescoes in the interior of the church.

Although the map does not indicate a route, trail 10 leads here from the Monastery of the Holy Icon. We recommend the hiking guide "Everything about Skiathos" on which all the small paths are listed. It is available from the tourist information office opposite bus stop 1 at the port.
