Hello I would really love your advice or recommendations as I’m currently walking across Europe in heels (@projet.alcover) from Barcelona - Craiova and want some advice on the do-ability of the stretch in Danube River Romanian side as the absence of shoulder to walk worries me. Great main attraction in Turnu-Severin. Highly recommend for people who like history and/or fortresses. You need to pay a fee beside the entrance on a wooden bridge. This is visible when you are coming from the Palace of Culture. Interesting place!

Historical bridge connected to Serbia. The location is really beautiful because it is in a nice park with many types of flowers, you can see Serbia on the other side of the Danube and also the last milestone of Via Transilvanica is located at Trajan’s bridge. Not to mention, do not forget that there is a museum “Porțile de Fier” and you should check it out. Also, you need to pay a fee which is quite expensive considering the museum.

From the Romanian side you can see the statue up close. It was built a few years ago by 20 sculptors.
