On the beautiful waterfront promenade along Opatija, with a magnificent view of the sea, on a small peninsula there is a statue depicting a girl with a seagull, the famous Opatija statue, which is steeped in history.

The cathedral in Krk bears the title of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the inscription on the building, it probably still existed in the second half of the 5th and early 6th centuries, so its title is related to the Council of Ephesus (431) and the great celebration marking the recognition of Mary as Mother of God. The Romanesque building has been preserved to this day with an exceptionally rich inventory, along with later minor Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque alterations. The pebble beach of Redagara (also called Radagara) was the first official dog beach on the island of Krk. Located between Dražica Bay and the Politin naturist campsite, it attracts visitors with its crystal-clear sea. By car, follow the signs to the Koralj Hotel, where you can also park near this bay. Baška on the island of Krk has stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. Vela Plaža is particularly popular. In the old town and around the harbor, there are many pleasant restaurants and bars, some of which are right on the waterfront, where you can watch the vibrant life pass by! The area also offers many hiking opportunities, albeit mostly on gravel paths, in beautiful natural surroundings and often with sea views! There are also historical sights, such as the Church of St. Lucija.

Krk Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, is located in the town of Krk on the Croatian island of the same name. Dating back to the 5th century, it was built on the ruins of Roman baths. Its current appearance is a mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque style elements added over the centuries. Particularly notable is the free-standing bell tower from the 16th century. The cathedral serves as the religious and cultural center of the island and is a significant example of early Christian architecture in Croatia.
