North Pond Brook is a small freshwater stream that drains from the forests on the hills above Middle Cove into the ocean. The brook winds through bogs and woodland and is rich in biodiversity.

The water is cold even in summer, and there are colorful tide pools great for exploring. Wind can pick up quickly and become strong here, and in the summer, parking fills up quickly.
