Monument to the Turkish soldiers who held the line after loss of Erzurum and Trabzon. Lovely position for statue of salute to the soldiers who died here. Beautiful views !

The entrance fee for foreigners is around 3 euros. Unfortunately, there is not much to see in the castle, but the view of Erzurum from the tower is very beautiful.

I didn’t have enough charge to record all the descent. It goes on for miles (much longer than komoot allowed me to mark up) The whole route from the pass down to the main road is amazing. Worth a detour in our view.

Bridge near the village of Köprüköy. The village name means 'bridge village'. The bridge itself is currently out of use. It was build in the 13th century according researchers.

Very quiet road, some abandonned houses in the beginning of the road coming from Aşkale. Nice views, enjoy!
