Τα νερά του Brandbach κατρακυλούν εδώ μέσα από ένα στενό φαράγγι που ονομάζεται Gaishölle. Με την πάροδο των αιώνων, η μεγάλη πτώση του νερού έχει ξεπλύνει τους τεράστιους βράχους και τους ογκόλιθους που βρίσκονται στον πυθμένα της κοιλάδας. Έτσι δημιουργήθηκε ένα άγρια ρομαντικό δασικό φαράγγι με πολλούς καταρράκτες. Παλαιότερα δεν μπορούσες να περπατήσεις κανονικά μέσα από την κοιλάδα. Αν ήθελες να διασχίσεις το φαράγγι, έπρεπε να «γείσεις», δηλαδή να κινηθείς σκαρφαλώνοντας σαν κατσίκα (αίγα). Η «κόλαση» με τη σειρά της είναι ένα παλιό όνομα για μια στενή, άγρια περιοχή, με πολλούς βράχους και πέτρες. Το 1880, ένας πεζοπορικός δρόμος δημιουργήθηκε για πρώτη φορά μέσα από το άγρια ρομαντικό Gaishölle. Η συντήρηση και η φροντίδα αυτού του μονοπατιού οδήγησε στη συνέχεια στην ίδρυση ενός ειδικού «Συλλόγου Καλλωπισμού» το 1882, του σημερινού „Heimat- und Verkehrsvereines Sasbachwalden“. Fuchsschroffen" Στην περιοχή και γύρω από τους βράχους κατοικούσαν παλαιότερα πολλές αλεπούδες, οι οποίες έκρυβαν εδώ και τα κλεμμένα τους κοτόπουλα. Το Fuchsschroffen αποτελείται από γρανίτη, ένα πολύ σκληρό και συμπαγές πέτρωμα, ευέλικτο στη χρήση, π.χ. στην οδοποιία και ως οικοδομική πέτρα. Ο γρανίτης διαθέτει ένα πολύ αραιό δίκτυο ρωγμών, το οποίο τον διασπά μέσω διάβρωσης σε μεγάλους ορθογώνιους λίθους. Ηλικία γρανίτη περίπου 315 εκατομμύρια χρόνια.

The path to the waterfalls is very beautiful and varied. You repeatedly cross the waterfall on small wooden bridges.
