The Ucelluline waterfall is a nugget of Upper Corsica to discover during a hike. Corsica is full of majestic waterfalls, but the hike through the Ucelluline waterfall is a complete experience: the historic village of Santa-Maria-Poggio, the Genoese bridge of Bucatoggio or the ruins of a typical village of the Isle of Beauty, this hike is rich in discoveries. Come and meet the traces of this jewel of the Costa Verde, hidden on the edge of the magnificent Corniche road and offering a breathtaking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea!

Walk down to the river about 200 m before that, there is a very nice bathing area with a deep pool and two small slides

The suggested route is basically manageable even for inexperienced hikers. In my opinion, you should definitely wear sturdy (ankle-high) shoes if you want to go further than the bathing area. The bridge is a fun way to start, the waterfall is of course (in August) completely crowded, the rest area at the chapel is pleasant and the view and landscape in general is great. The way back on the road is relatively risky with the Corsican traffic.

Beautiful old stone bridge. You can swim underneath. Next to it is a small ruin.

There are lots of small waterfalls and swimming pools here. Beautiful. But there is no one big waterfall. Highly Recommended.

This bath tub is really great. The pools below are very popular with many bathers. Here we were completely alone.

So for the fact that the waterfall was so big and also signposted, it was quite small (beginning of August 2023) but still beautiful and with a refreshing bathing pool.
