The characteristic twin towers that characterize the cityscape, however, only received their current neo-Gothic appearance in the 19th century. With a height of around 105 meters, they are among the tallest church towers in Bavaria. The cathedral has been the cathedral of the Diocese of Regensburg for centuries and is dedicated to Saint Peter. Particularly worth seeing are the original stained glass windows from the 13th and 14th centuries, the delicate high choir and the richly decorated west facade.
