Puerto Nariño is the second municipality in the Amazon department of Colombia, located on the banks of the Amazon river. It has about 6,000 inhabitants, most of them indigenous and its specificity is that it is entirely for pedestrians, no cars or motorbikes are allowed, like an experiment in an ecological community

The Tanimboca Nature Reserve is a unique reserve 13 kilometers from Leticia, in the heart of the Amazon jungle and a short distance from the emblematic Amazon River. It is made up of “malojas” or traditional indigenous houses that sit 12 meters high, in the treetops.

The Parque Santander should be visited shortly before sunset. Then thousands of screeching parrots (pericos) settle in the trees of the park so that you can no longer understand your own word. You can see the city from the church tower directly at the park for 3000 COP.
