The Pont de Zähringen is a historic bridge in Fribourg, Switzerland, which crosses the Saane Gorge and connects the Upper and Lower Town of Fribourg. The bridge is named after the noble Zähringen family who founded the city in the 12th century.

The Zaehringen bridge, built in 1924, connects the Schoenberg district to the Bourg district. Take a break during your crossing to admire St. Nicholas Cathedral and the Bern Bridge.

The Broye canal connects the Morat and Neuchâtel lakes. From this bridge, you can admire the landscape along the canal.

Wonderful place for a rest

Imposing Rossens dam which forms Lake Gruyère. Height 83m. The water is transported to the Hauterive power station by a penstock in order to be processed.
