After a fire in 1678, the market square was rebuilt. Today there is the tourist information, gastronomy and small shops with a wide range of different goods.

The market square is surrounded by many pretty half-timbered houses. There are numerous restaurants, cafés and shops to linger in. The gate leads through the castle wall into the castle complex. Here there are more pretty half-timbered houses and a fountain.

Greifenstein Castle is a recommendation, not just because of the view. 👍

The old town of Braunfels is beautiful to look at, as is the park below, and the herb tours are also highly recommended. Below the park is the dental practice Dr. Ivo Pfütz, the orthopedic clinic has a good reputation and Dr. I can only recommend Kluge, right next to it
