Beautifully situated hut, great view, and friendly service. The menu is small, but the food is good and plentiful, and breakfast is served directly in the pan. No running water for day guests.

Avsenik Museum, Begunje Learn about the beginnings of Slovenian folk music and listen to the hits of the Original Oberkrainer. The Avsenik Museum, located in the Avsenik family's guesthouse in the center of Begunje, presents the development and history of the folk music of the Original Oberkrainer. The legend of Slovenian folk music, Slavko Avsenik, and his older brother Vilko Ovsenik, are the founders of the musical genre that is now imitated by numerous folk music ensembles in Slovenia and around the world. The museum is located in the house where the two brothers were born. On display are the original musical instruments and costumes that Slavko Avsenik wore on concert stages or album covers. The exhibition includes numerous awards and prizes that Slavko Avsenik & his Original Oberkrainer received for their achievements in the field of music and the promotion of Slovenia, as well as gold, platinum and diamond records for the numerous albums sold. A new feature in the museum are the interactive points where you can play songs and watch videos from different eras of the Original Oberkrainer. On the upper floor there is an exhibition about the history of the Avsenik family and original furniture from the apartment on the Avsenik family farm. The museum room also has a shop with CDs and souvenirs of the Original Oberkrainer.
