The castle was built around 1528 from a medieval castle complex. Today, the Renaissance castle is a venue for concerts, exhibitions and seminars. You can also rent parts of the castle for your celebrations. Guided tours are also possible by arrangement.

Kobersdorf Castle was built around 1528 from a medieval castle. In 1683 the complex was taken by the Turks and partially destroyed. After years of decay, the castle was bought and renovated by an architect in 1963. Today it is owned by her daughter and can only be viewed during events. Used as the home of the Esterházy family since the first half of the 17th century, Lackenbach Palace has undergone careful renovation in recent years. Franz Liszt was born in this house on October 22, 1811. With its 6 rooms, it used to be the stateliest house in this area. Today it houses a museum. Directly opposite is a modern concert hall. The house is certainly the top highlight in Raiding and worth a visit. Guided tour dates and admission prices can be found on the homepage.

a place steeped in history ..... in January 1927 the Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria held a meeting in this Burgenland town, which was shot at from an inn by members of the Front Fighter Association of German Austria ("Frontkäufer"), whereupon two dead and five injured were to complain about. The former SPÖ politician Josef Ostermayer is a descendant from 2008 to 2013, he was State Secretary, then Federal Minister in the Austrian Federal Chancellery until 2016. A great uncle of Ostermayer is Josef Grössing. Grössing was a brother of Ostermayer's grandmother and was shot in Schattendorf by members of the front-line fighters in 1927 at the age of six. The acquittal of the accused in the so-called "Schattendorfer Verdict" subsequently led to the Vienna Palace of Justice fire. (Wikipedia)
