Alp Foo is an alpine settlement in the municipality of Mels in the canton of St. Gallen, located approximately 2 km east of the Foo Pass, which forms the border between the cantons of Glarus and St. Gallen. Barbielergrat 1971m (mountain pass) The Barbielergrat is a mountain pass high above the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. Its pass is at an altitude of 1971 meters above sea level between the Alvier (2342m above sea level) and the summit of the Chopf (1997m above sea level). From the north side, mountain hiking trails lead from Buchs and Werdenberg along the Tobelbach or via Malbun and Malschüel up to the crossing. From the south you hike from Malans, Oberschan or Sevelen over the Schaneralp up to the Barbielergrat. You also pass the pass from the north when hiking up the Alvier.
