Λίγα μέτρα μακριά από το Altes Bad Pfäfers βρίσκεται η είσοδος του μυστηριώδους φαραγγιού Tamina. Εδώ οι επισκέπτες μπορούν να βιώσουν από κοντά την τεράστια δύναμη του νερού. Το μονοπάτι του φαραγγιού έχει λαξευτεί στην ανατολική πλευρά του βράχου. Ένα σταθερό κάγκελο προσφέρει στήριξη και απόσταση από το κοντινό, άγριο Tamina. Μια στοά που κατασκευάστηκε το 1987 δείχνει τελικά τον ασφαλή δρόμο μέσα από το εσωτερικό του βράχου, περνώντας από τη μικρή βρύση ιαματικού νερού (36,5°C) μέχρι τη σπηλιά της πηγής.

Το φαράγγι Tamina δημιουργήθηκε από τη δύναμη του ποταμού Tamina. Το νερό του μικρού ποταμού έχει σκάψει βαθιά στο έδαφος κατά τη διάρκεια των τελευταίων 15.000 ετών. Η στενή βραχώδης σχισμή έχει μήκος περίπου 750 μ. και βάθος 70 μ. Στο Alten Bad Pfäfers, το φαράγγι ανοίγει τόσο πολύ ώστε στα τελευταία 4 χλμ., δίπλα στον Tamina, υπάρχει χώρος και για έναν στενό δρόμο μίας λωρίδας, ο οποίος συνδέει το Bad Ragaz με το Alten Bad Pfäfers.

Το φαράγγι Äulischlucht κοντά στο Lichtensteig είναι ένα εντυπωσιακό φυσικό κόσμημα με απότομους βράχους, καθαρό νερό και έναν μικρό καταρράκτη. Το μονοπάτι περνά κυρίως μέσα από το δάσος και είναι σε ορισμένα σημεία στενό και δυσπρόσιτο ανάμεσα στους βράχους. Σε ένα σύντομο πέρασμα, ένα σχοινί διευκολύνει την ασφαλή κίνηση. Η ποικίλη διαδρομή προσφέρει ευχάριστη σκιά τις ζεστές μέρες και προσκαλεί με τις όμορφες θέες της να παραμείνετε. Σημείωση: Λόγω της τρέχουσας ξηρασίας και της έλλειψης νερού, η πρόσβαση στο ρεύμα απαγορεύεται προς το παρόν.

Mysterious Tamina Gorge In the Tamina Gorge between Valens and the hamlet of Bonadivis, the water of the Tamina River carves its way up to 200 meters into the earth. The narrow rock crevice of the Tamina Gorge is approximately 750 meters long and 70 meters deep. Near Old Bad Pfäfers, the gorge widens, and a road now connects Old Bad Pfäfers with the town of Bad Ragaz. Deep within the mystical Tamina Gorge beats its heart: the inexhaustible spring from which healing, body-temperature thermal water has bubbled for centuries. Among others, the physician and alchemist Paracelsus praised the healing properties of the spring water in the 16th century, which is considered an acratotherm due to its low mineral content and temperature of 36.5°C.
