An old castle complex surrounded by water fed by the Strunder Bach stream. First mentioned in 1345, it was sold to Bruno Wasser in 1983 and extensively renovated. Between 1985 and 2011, part of the castle was used as the upscale Restaurant Isenburg, featuring an outdoor dining area suitable for film sets, located directly on the moat. The restaurant earned a good reputation. After the restaurant closed in 2011, an orchard with old, local apple varieties was planted between Isenburg and Johan-Bensberg-Straße. Once ripe, the apples are free for anyone to pick.

"One of the last remaining towers of Cologne's city wall... In the 13th century, Cologne possessed the largest city fortifications in the Holy Roman Empire, with its 7,000-meter-long ring of walls, twelve gates, and numerous towers. The city wall—built between 1200 and 1250 from Rhenish trachyte, tuff, and basalt—encircled the city in a semicircle, with the Rhine forming its eastern boundary. The listed Isenburg Castle complex exhibits the typical features of a moated castle. Unfortunately, the current structure no longer dates back to the time of its construction.
