The most southern section of the Arkansas River Trail actually hops on the other side of the river than the rest of the path. It crosses over the Arkansas River on a pretty cool pedestrian bridge before continuing north into the city. The southern section seems to be a little less crowded than its counterpart.

Vic’s Lake is one of the pretty lakes in Sedgwick County Park, with a small peninsula and three fishing docks, along with a shaded grassy area. The lake is surrounded by a paved path with sidewalks and also a biking trail that goes around it. To fish in the lakes inside the park you will need a fishing license.

There are a bunch of different creeks and ponds on the property with bridges that you can fish from (with a license) and lots of open green space.

The Arkansas River Bicycle Path is a 15.6 mile loop on both sides of the Arkansas River. It is fully paved and mostly flat. The path does not join up with any roads, so you can take your time to enjoy the wonderful views of the river.
