On May 18, 1959, cycling world champion André Darrigade left his jersey, thus starting a tradition. In summer, the church is open in the morning and afternoon. In autumn, unfortunately, it is only open in the afternoon from 3 p.m., so we were unable to visit.

Built on an ancient railway line that connected Gabarret to Mont de Marsan, the Via Verde of It is an integral part of the Scandibérique, the pilgrims' cycle path (EuroVélo 3) that connects the city of Trondheim in Norway to Santiago de Compostela, crossing the France for over 1700 km, of which 195 km in the Landes. Along the green way created from the old railway there is this beautiful church dedicated to Santa Maria dei cyclists. Inside are endless t-shirts of famous cyclists. Absolutely obligatory stop.
