    Wallfahrtsort - Legende

    Nach der wunderbaren Heilung seines Sohnes, der sich eine Messerspitze ins Auge gestochen hatte, ließ Hans Lechleitner mit Johann Raimund Fieger von Kronburg ein Mariahilfbildnis (nach Lukas Cranach) malen und eine Kapelle erbauen.

    Die Wallfahrtskirche zu Maria Hilf wurde als Kapelle 1673 errichtet und nach Einlangen zahlreicher Wallfahrtsspenden 1714 bis 1717 erweitert. Es entstand ein barockes Kleinod. In der Nähe des Eingangs befinden sich einige Votivgaben. Jedes der Stücke erzählt eine Geschichte: von Wünschen und Gebeten, die bereits in Erfüllung gegangenen sind.

    Die Wallfahrtskirche gehört als Kaplanei der Pfarre Zams zur Diözese Innsbruck.
