The Batterie du Pradeau, widely known as the Tour Fondue, is a historic coastal fortification situated at the southernmost tip of the Giens peninsula in Hyères, France.     Das Battery Pradeau, "Tour Fondue" genannt, wurde zwischen 1633 und 1637 im Auftrag von Richelieu zum Schutz der Ankerplätze und des Passes zwischen der Insel Porquerolles und der Halbinsel Giens erbaut.

    Dieses kleine polygonale Werk wurde im 19. Jahrhundert umgebaut und verfügt über eine Kaserne und ein Pulvermagazin. Im Jahr 1881 war er noch mit 2 Kanonen mit 30 Streifen bewaffnet. Es wurde heruntergestuft und bald darauf aufgegeben.

    Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist das Gebäude für die Öffentlichkeit geschlossen.
