    Direkt neben der Kirche steht das alte Pfleghaus.

    Das große Gebäude war einst das Pfarrhaus. 1454 kam das Haus im Tauschwege an das Landgericht St. Michaelsburg. Damit residierten die Pfleger und Landrichter nicht mehr auf der Michaelsburg, sondern in St. Lorenzen. Über Jahrhunderte war das Landgericht und damit auch das „Amthaus“ an die Grafen Künigl verpfändet. Es beherbergte die Amtsräume, Speicher, einen Kerker und Dienstwohnungen.

    1866, während des venezianischen Krieges, diente es als Militärspital.

    1718 wurde das östlich angrenzende Gerichtsdienerhaus gebaut. Hier wohnte der Gerichtsdiener mit seiner Familie. Da er weitgehend Polizeiaufgaben hatte, wurde das Haus „Polizeihäusl“ genannt.
