Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wurde die Burg Opfer von Bombenangriffen und Diebstählen, ist aber dank der Fürsorge der dort lebenden Menschen bis heute intakt und gut erhalten geblieben.
Die erste Phase einer umfassenden Restaurierung wurde gerade abgeschlossen.
Das Schloss ist nun für Besichtigungen und die Durchführung von Veranstaltungen aller Art zugänglich.
