    Keine Festung, und auch kein Berg - Ruine der Basilica St. Stefanos. Ein wunderschöner Ort mit Kultur und Historie, mit einem Badestrand und einem tollen Blick auf das vorgelagerte Inselchen Kastri zu der man schwimmen oder mit dem Tretboot fahren kann.

    1932 wurde an der Südküste von Kos die Basilika Agios Stéfanos von italienischen Archäologen freigelegt. Die Ruine steht auf Felsen direkt an der Küste und bildet nun fast eine Einheit mit dem Strand von Agios Stéfanos. Die Kombination aus Sandstrand und Ruine hat einen der schöneren Orte zum Schwimmen auf Kos geschaffen.
