Bei archäologischen Ausgrabungen wurden Reste eines frühchristlichen Baptisteriums und einer spätantiken Nekropole gefunden. Spätere Ausgrabungen zeigten auch Reste einer Handwerkersiedlung und der frühen Kirchengebäude (6. Jahrhundert).
