    Die St.-Martins-Kirche in Burst – neugotische Schönheit mit uralten Wurzeln. Erbaut 1852 auf den Fundamenten einer jahrhundertealten Pfarrkirche, ist diese Kirche ein neugotisches Juwel im Herzen von Burst. Im Inneren können Sie Wandmalereien, Marmoraltäre und eine historische Orgel bewundern. Ein Ort, an dem Stille, Kunst und Geschichte aufeinandertreffen – der perfekte Rastplatz bei einem Spaziergang oder einer Radtour durch Erpe-Mere.

    Die Kirche wurde zwischen 1852 und 1855 erbaut. Die älteste urkundliche Erwähnung stammt jedoch aus dem Jahr 1117, dem Jahr, in dem die Benediktinerabtei Vorst das Patronat über Burst, Bambrugge und Vlekkem übernahm.

    1908 wurden der umliegende Friedhof und seine Mauer abgerissen, um den Oudenaardsesteenweg zu verbreitern.
