Vor dem Parlamentsgebäude befindet sich das Grabmal des unbekannten Soldaten, das Tag und Nacht von den „Evzones“ bewacht wird, zwei Präsidentengarden in einer kuriosen traditionellen Uniform. Touristen können stündlich die Wachablösung sehen, aber die prächtigste Zeremonie findet sonntags um 10 Uhr statt.
