    Die Ruinen befinden sich auf einer Klippe über dem Meer.
    Die Festung wurde im 18. Jahrhundert erbaut, um die Bucht von El Abra zu verteidigen.
    Die Festung wurde anstelle eines alten Wachturms aus dem 16. Jahrhundert errichtet. Der Turm wurde in den 1940er Jahren als Leuchtturm wieder aufgebaut.
    In der Festung gab es Lagerhäuser und Unterkünfte für die Truppen.
