    In der Ebene des Flusses Arles, zwischen Tejo und Tajuña, empfängt uns die Villa Ducal de Pastrana. Aufgrund seines vielfältigen künstlerischen und kulturellen Erbes erhielt es den Titel einer kunsthistorischen Stätte.

    Pastrana ist reich an Figuren und literarischen Geschichten; So wurden die Karmelitinnenklöster von der Heiligen Teresa und dem Heiligen Johannes vom Kreuz gegründet. Moratín ließ sich später für längere Zeit in der Stadt nieder und, näher an unserer Zeit, verewigte Camilo José Cela sie, indem er sie in seiner Viaje a la Alcarria porträtierte.
