    Die Palmas-Brücke ist die älteste Brücke in Badajoz und überquert den Fluss Guadiana. Sie wurde 1596 während der Herrschaft von Philipp II. erbaut, allerdings auf einer Vorgängerbrücke aus dem Jahr 1460. Diese Brücke im Herrera-Stil ist 585 Meter lang und hat 32 Bögen.

    Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte wurde die Brücke aufgrund von Flussüberschwemmungen mehrmals repariert. An einem Ende der Brücke befindet sich die Puerta de Palmas, in früheren Zeiten einer der Haupteingänge zur Stadt, und am anderen Ende steht ein im 17. Jahrhundert zum Schutz des Brückenkopfes errichtetes Hornwerk.
