    Das denkmalgeschützte Tessenderlo-Zentrum wurde 1925 eingeweiht. Es wurde von dem 1957 verstorbenen Bildhauer Jules Jourdain geschaffen, der die Statue von Justus Lipsius aus dem Jahr 1909 in der gleichnamigen Straße in Leuven zu seinen zahlreichen öffentlichen Errungenschaften zählt.

    Neben Kriegsdenkmälern und Statuen wie der von Jean van Ruysbroeck in der Sint-Michiels-Kathedrale in Brüssel fertigte er vor allem Büsten und Basreliefs an.
