    Die Burg Talamantes wurde im 11. Jahrhundert mit dem Zweck erbaut, den Grenzübergang zwischen Kastilien und Aragonien in den Schluchten Valdeherrera und Valdetreviño zu verteidigen. Obwohl sich ein Großteil der Festung in einem Ruinenzustand befindet, sind die Nordmauer und einer ihrer Türme noch recht gut erhalten.
