In De Wijers gelegen, ist dies ein Gebiet mit einer reichen Kulturgeschichte. Die Geschichte der Domäne Bovy reicht bis ins Jahr 1134 zurück. Damals gründete der Graf von Loon die Norbertiner-Abtei in Averbode. Zwanzig Jahre später schenkte er der Abtei ein 27 Hektar großes Anwesen in Bolderberg. Die Weißen bauten dort eine schöne quadratische Farm.
