Die St. Lars-Kirche ist eine klassische Kirche aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit einem ziemlich charakteristischen Turm. Im Turm befindet sich ein schönes Glockenspiel, das fünfmal am Tag für die Einwohner der Stadt spielt. Im Inneren der Kirche fällt zunächst das Fehlen eines traditionellen Altaraufsatzes auf. Stattdessen gibt es eine "Chorwand" aus Marmor, die fast den gesamten Chor umschließt. Die ehemaligen Altarbilder, bemalt von Pehr Hörberg, sind jetzt auf gegenüberliegenden Seiten der großen Orgel platziert.
