    Eine der kuriosesten Sehenswürdigkeiten Südtirols stellt der 38 Meter hohe, schiefe Turm der Pfarrkirche St. Jakob in Barbian dar. Die Kirche stammt aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und ebenso lange weist die Turmspitze diese 1,57 Meter aus dem Lot abweichende Neigung auf.

    Einzigartig ist der 38 Meter hohe, schiefe Kirchturm mitten in Barbian, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Gasthof Rösslwirt entfernt. Sein Fundament steht zur Hälfte auf felsigem und zur Hälfte auf erdigem Untergrund. Die Kirche ist ein Zeugnis der Romanik. Ihre Bauzeit fällt in das 12. bis 14. Jahrhundert.
