Die Mühle wurde 1804 als Poldermühle im Auftrag der Ambacht Moordrecht gebaut. 1863 wurde die Mühle in den neu gegründeten Oostpolder in Schieland verlegt. Die Mallemolen blieb bis 1904 in Betrieb. In diesem Jahr wurde in der Nähe der Mühle eine Pumpstation errichtet, die von einem Sauggasmotor angetrieben wurde. Ein Jahr später wurde die Mühle abgebaut, um in ein Wohnhaus für den Fahrer der Pumpstation umgebaut zu werden.
