    Dieses wunderschöne historische Gebäude ist seit 1676 eine soziale Einrichtung, die von Sir William Turner, der einst Bürgermeister von London war, gegründet wurde. Unter dem Namen William Turner’s Hospital bot es Waisenkindern und älteren Menschen ein Zuhause. Der Begriff Hospital stand dabei nicht für Krankenhaus, sondern für „hospitality“.

    Auch heute leben in dem Haus Senioren mit wenig Ressourcen. Das Gebäude ist zwar nicht für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich, ein Blick von außen auf das historische Gemäuer lohnt sich aber allemal.
