    PONTE DO BURGO. Ein Symbol der Stadt und ein tief verwurzelter Mythos ist die Gründung durch Teuker, einen griechischen Bogenschützen, der nach dem Trojanischen Krieg in den Westen reiste, um die Stadt zu errichten. Somit sind die Straße und die Brücke der Ursprung der Stadtgründung. Im S. XII, unter der Herrschaft von Fernando II., erscheint die Stadt erstmals unter ihrem heutigen Namen. Es besteht aus elf abgesenkten Halbkreisbögen und besteht aus mittelalterlichem Quadermauerwerk. Durch spätere Erweiterungen stark verändert.
