    Die älteste Kirche von Kampen und außerdem die markanteste Erscheinung entlang der IJsselfront: die Bovenkerk, auch St. Nicolaaskerk genannt. Diese große, gotische Kreuzbasilika wurde im 14. Jahrhundert gebaut. Die imposante Bovenkerk hat einen Kirchturm mit vom Glockengießer Geert van Wou im Jahr 1481/1482 gegossenen Glocken.
