    Moesgård ist ein alter Gutshof. Das ursprüngliche Gut wurde während den sogenannten Schwedischen Kriegen in der Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts abgebrannt. Die ursprünglichen Gebäude lagen etwas südwestlich von der heutigen Plazierung. Nach dem Brand wurde das Gut von dem holländischen Grosskaufmann Gabriel Marselis, der doch nie dort gewohnt hat, wieder aufgebaut.
