    Mit Ehrfurcht vor dem tiefen Glauben und jahrhundertealter Baukunst steht man vor dieser kleinen Klosterkirche und stellt sich die Frage, wie das die Zeit der Diktatur überdauerte. Anderenorts (in Tulcea) unterhielt ich mich mit einem russischen Popen, der die Ikonen und die Wandbemalung selbst herstellte. Wieviel Großmut und Geduld er austrahlte zeugte gleichermaßen von seiner Leidensfähigkeit, aber auch vom Glück der Gegenwart. Fernab von seiner Heimat fand er seine Bestimmung, eine neue Gemeinde.
