    Das Schloss wurde zwischen 1635 und 1647 für Gérard de Groesbeek, den späteren Fürstbischof von Lüttich, erbaut.

    Damals gehörte es Gérard de Mérode, Jean-Hubert de Tignée und dann Jacques-Rémy de Goer, der das Anwesen 1690 erwarb und das Schloss, das 1674 und 1684 zwei Brände erlitten hatte, umbaute.

    Die Familie Goer de Herve besaß das Schloss bis 1814. Das Schloss wurde 1889 von Gustave Dumont erworben, der am 28. April 1891 starb, und gehörte bis 2019 seinen Nachkommen. Haltinne ist heute Eigentum von Claude Froidbise.
