    Das Schloss Maaltebrugge, das sich im Maaltebrugge Park am Stadtrand von Gent befindet, stammt wahrscheinlich aus dem Jahr 1754 und wurde Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts Château Maaltebrugge genannt. In den Sommermonaten war es das Landhaus der Familie de Hemptinne. Das Schloss selbst wurde im klassizistischen Stil erbaut, aber die angrenzende Schlosskapelle Maaltebrugge ist neugotisch.

    Nachdem Charles de Hemptinne, der letzte Besitzer, 1940 das Schloss endgültig verließ, wurden das Schloss und der angrenzende Park 1955 von der Stadt Gent gekauft.
