    St. Peter's ist eine denkmalgeschützte Kirche an einem malerischen Ort neben dem Fluss Tees in der Nähe der historischen Croft Bridge. Die Kirche wurde im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut, in den folgenden 300 Jahren entwickelt und im 19. Jahrhundert restauriert. Zwischen 1843 und 1868 war der Vater des Autors Lewis Carroll Rektor der Kirche. Carroll, am bekanntesten für das Buch "Alice im Wunderland", soll sich von den Schnitzereien und Artefakten in der Kirche inspirieren lassen.
