    Die Mühle fand ich schön.
    Die heutige Veenmolen steht seit 1823 am Rande des Dorfes Wilnis, inmitten von Torfwiesen, tief aufgeschüttetem Land, Hochland und Nichtmoorpoldern. Große Teile dieser Landschaft haben in den letzten Jahrhunderten eine doppelte Metamorphose durchlaufen: vom Land zum Wasser (durch Torfabbau) und zurück zum Land (urbar gemachtes Land).​

    De Veenmolen ist jeden Samstag von 10:00 bis 16:00 Uhr geöffnet, sofern auf dieser Website unter Ankündigungen nichts anderes angegeben ist.

    Seit der Restaurierung 2003 läuft die Mühle bei ausreichend Wind jeden Samstag.

    De Veenmolen nimmt jedes Jahr am Nationalen Mühlentag und am Tag des offenen Denkmals teil.
