    Das Castello Sforzesco di Galliate (oder Castello Visconteo Sforzesco ) wurde von der Familie Sforza zwischen 1476 und 1496 auf einer bereits bestehenden Festung in Visconti erbaut . Es ist eines der bedeutendsten und bekanntesten Denkmäler des Novara-Gebiets für seine Pracht und Einheitlichkeit des Layouts. Es befindet sich auf der Nordseite der Piazza Vittorio Veneto im Herzen der Stadt.

    Direkt im Zentrum der Stadt, inmitten eines großen Platzes, ist ein imposantes und massives Gebäude gut sichtbar, umgeben von einem großen Wassergraben. Es ist das Visconti-Sforza-Schloss von Galliate, das der Herzog von Mailand Galeazzo Sforza 1476 auf einer früheren Militärfestung der Visconti errichten ließ.
