Der ausgezeichnete Weg auf den Ostgrat wurde während des Sturms Arwen im Jahr 2021 durch umgestürzte Bäume schwer beschädigt und diese wurden nicht gesperrt, sodass der obere Abschnitt des Weges gesperrt wurde.
Ein neuer Weg schneidet jedoch den oberen Weg oberhalb des beschädigten Abschnitts ab, sodass es nun wieder möglich ist, den oberen Abschnitt des schönen Ostgrats zu begehen.
