    Das Visconti-Schloss von Cassano d'Adda ist eine mittelalterliche Festung mit einer über 900-jährigen Geschichte. Die Festung wurde im 13. Jahrhundert auf Befehl von Ottone Visconti, dem damaligen Erzbischof von Mailand, erbaut. Im Laufe der folgenden Jahrhunderte übernahm die Burg von Zeit zu Zeit verschiedene Funktionen: Gefängnis, Privatresidenz der Familie Visconti, Gericht, militärischer Außenposten. Die Struktur des Schlosses – heute ein Hotel – ist noch heute in ausgezeichnetem Zustand erhalten.
