What makes the Calvary of Moresnet-Chapelle a significant historical site?

The site's history dates back to the 18th century with devotion to the Virgin Mary. Its monumental Way of the Cross was constructed between 1895 and 1904 by Franciscan friars, transforming a flat meadow into a hilly landscape. The entire Calvary is a blend of natural beauty and man-made artistry. The botanical garden itself, with its diverse flora, is a key natural feature.
