Es liegt am Hang zwischen zwei Weilern und ist eine Burg, deren Gebäude gruppiert sind und ein Viereck um einen zentralen Innenhof bilden. Der Eingang wird von zwei von Bogenschützen durchbohrten Rundtürmen eingerahmt und war früher mit einer Zugbrücke ausgestattet.
Es soll als Hotel dienen, die Gästezimmer sind fast fertig.

Das unregelmäßige Viereck umschließt einen zentralen Innenhof.
Der markante Nordeingang, der auf dem Bild zu sehen ist, wird von zwei mächtigen Rundtürmen flankiert, die mit Schießscharten (archères-canonniers) ausgestattet sind und früher durch eine Zugbrücke geschützt wurden. Die Anlage steht seit 1967 als Monument historique unter Denkmalschutz.
Teile des Schlosses wurden restauriert und werden privat als charmante Gästepension (Le Gros Chigy Château) für Reisende im Burgund genutzt.
