    Der 1954 errichtete Obelisk erinnert an die USS Hobson, einen Zerstörer, der im 2. Weltkrieg unter anderem am D-Day eingesetzt wurde. Die Hobson sank 1952 durch einen verheerenden Unfall, eine Kollision mit dem US-Flugzeugträger Wasp. Alle 176 Besatzungsmitglieder starben. Die Gravur des Obelisken führt alle 38 Bundesstaaten auf, aus denen die Opfer stammten.
